College students, ecologically responsible as they might be, often get stuck at the end of the year. They are time-stressed, sleep-deprived, and inexperienced in self-organization. Suddenly it's the end of the term, time to go, and way too much stuff is needing to being managed. Much of the stuff is large and inexpensive -- so therefore not cost-effective to ship anywhere. Students around the country have been organizing Dump and Run drop-offs, offering ways to donate these things rather than throw them out.
